New high-bay warehouse officially inaugurated at Friatec in Mannheim (Germany)

Today the new high-bay warehouse has officially been inaugurated in the presence of Dr. Peter Kurz, Mayor of Mannheim, and Corrado Mazzacano, Divisional CEO Aliaxis Utilities & Industry.

The 35-meter high, fully automated warehouse, built according to the latest technological standards, allows to store up to 12,000 pallets. The parts are now centrally delivered to the picking and shipping hall through an electrical floor lift system. Not only will it be truly functional, it is also a real landmark for Mannheim. The warehouse is one of the highest buildings in the area and is artistically illuminated at night.

Warehouse Mannheim

With this € 10.6 million investment, Aliaxis doubles the warehouse capacity in Mannheim. Friatec’s logistical centre will be operating as the central distribution hub for electrofusion fittings for the group and aims to significantly enhance service to its worldwide customer base.
